Job description

Under the supervision of the Supervising Engineering Geologist for the Burned Watershed Geohazard Program (BWG) within the California Geological Survey (CGS), the Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for providing project management and scientific expertise for the BWG program .

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION : If new to California state service, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification in order to be hired for this position. If you are a current state employee, but do not have transfer eligibility or list eligibility, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification in order to be hired for this position. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and / or appointment. Working Conditions

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at : 320 West 4th St., Suite 850 Los Angeles, CA 90013 at least two days per week. Alternative work locations will not be considered.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
