Machinist Apprentice

Regal Rexnord is seeking Machinist Apprentices for our Canal Street plant location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This Apprenticeship is a formal training program for our Machinist roles.

This is a minimum of a 4-year Apprenticeship that combines On-The-Job Training with Classroom Instruction one-day per week at an approved Technical College program.

Upon successful completion of the program, associates will receive a State of Wisconsin Certificate of Apprenticeship.

While working at the Canal Street Shop, the Machinist Apprentice will be responsible for assisting Journey-Level Machinists, while learning all facets of the Machine Shop, following Regal Rexnord’s Apprenticeship structure in compliance with State and / or Federal rules and regulations.

Field of study will include but, are not limited to :

Precision measurement and inspection of Manual and CNC machines.

Milling, turning, grinding, metallurgy, material testing and parts assembly.

Cut-off machine operation.

Required Qualifications :

High School Diploma or equivalent, is required.

Strong verbal and written comprehension, with the ability to thrive in a team environment and work well under supervision.

Ability to work independently and responsibly in a variety of industrial environments is essential.

Preferred Qualifications :

Good Math skills and basic computer skills are highly desirable.

Experience / exposure in an Advanced Manufacturing environment or recent Skilled Trade-related classes, is preferred.

Solid Mechanical background is a plus.
