The Medical Assistant 2 is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative / operational / customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. The Medical Assistant 2 ensures the delivery of quality patient care through the provision of patient care services, including but not limited to, patient intake, patient care, and patient discharge. The Medical Assistant 2 is also responsible for the patient care environment and the maintenance of patient care equipment.
