Job description

Ready to advance your heating and air conditioning career? Step up with Energy Pro Heating & Cooling in Portsmouth, VA as a full-time HVAC Installation Technician ! This role pays $22–$30 / hour , plus bonuses , and offers a Monday to Friday schedule between 8 AM and 5 PM, with occasional extended hours to finish jobs. Our technicians start their day at our central location before heading out to job sites!

What You Bring to the Table :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as an HVAC installer
  • Physical ability to handle up to 100 lbs and work in varied conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Dependability, mechanical aptitude, and a self-motivated team mindset
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, nights, and weekends
  • EPA certification is preferred but not required

Your Climb, Your Day :

  • Install HVAC equipment, ductwork, and gas / refrigerant lines per specifications
  • Wire low and high voltage systems; solder and braze refrigerant lines
  • Pre-measure jobs, load materials, and verify all equipment before installation
  • Ensure quality workmanship while following company policies and safety standards
  • Maintain professional conduct, accurate paperwork, and clear communication with customers and team
