The Opportunity : Role Summary
We are looking for a strategic, people-focused Director of Operations to join our executive team. This is a pivotal, high-impact role for a rapidly scaling agency, serving as a critical partner to the CEO with a clear path for increased leadership responsibility. Your mission is to support and uplift our team of 14+ professionals by designing and implementing systems that maximize their effectiveness and efficiency. This is a role about leadership, not management , focused on driving employee longevity, agency profitability, and customer retention.
What You'll Do : Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Expansion : Partner with the CEO to execute the strategic growth plan, including identifying and integrating new office locations (scratch builds or acquisitions). Translate strategy into clear operational goals and procedures.
- Process Optimization & Scalability : Analyze core business processes, identify bottlenecks, and design streamlined, scalable workflows. Champion new tools and technologies to enhance productivity and the client experience.
- Financial Management : Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and P&L management for operations. Monitor resource allocation and drive initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness.
- Team Enablement : Lead and mentor operations and service teams, fostering a high-performance culture. Act as a support system, removing obstacles, and aligning team development with external coaching.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Act as the central hub for inter-departmental communication, process alignment, and resource / capacity planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- A proven people-focused leader (not a manager) with an ability to support and empower high-performing teams.
- Experience and vision for scaling operations in a high-growth environment.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, and operational finance.
- Experience implementing and optimizing operational systems. Familiarity with tools like Ricochet 360, Google Workspace, ADP, and QuickBooks is a plus.
Details
- Location : Hybrid - Sioux City, Council Bluffs, with required travel to all affiliated offices twice a month per office.
- Schedule : Full-Time, Exempt. Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
- Reports to : Agency Owner / CEO.
