Responsibilities :
- Daily Operations Management : Oversee and optimize the day-to-day activities of the branch, ensuring smooth operations and efficient processes.
- Sales Team Management : Lead and inspire our outside and inside sales staff, fostering a sales-driven culture and providing guidance for maintaining and expanding our customer base.
- Staff Hiring and Development : Recruit and develop a high-performing team, cultivating their skills and providing opportunities for growth.
- Budgeting and P&L Oversight : Take charge of financial aspects, including budgeting, monitoring expenses, and ensuring profitable operations by effectively managing sales and operations.
- Cost and Margin Control : Implement strategies to control costs and maximize margins while maintaining quality standards.
- Staff Safety : Prioritize the safety of our employees, promoting a culture of safety throughout the branch.
- Timely Deliveries : Ensure on-time deliveries to our customers, optimizing inventory management and coordinating with the warehouse team.
- Inventory and Warehouse Management : Efficiently manage inventory levels, optimizing stock availability and accuracy while minimizing holding costs.
- Customer Service Excellence : Uphold our commitment to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that customer needs are met or exceeded.
- Overall Branch Operation : Take responsibility for the overall performance and growth of the branch, driving profitability through strategic decision-making and effective leadership.
Qualifications :
- Demonstrated management and sales experience in the building products industry, particularly in full line building products, lumber, roofing, siding, windows / doors, or millwork.
- Proven track record of sales success and the ability to attract new business while maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Experience in P&L management, with the capability to effectively balance sales and operational objectives.
- Previous branch / general management experience within the building products industry is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective time management abilities.
- Self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, capable of handling various customer and employee situations.
