Responsibilities
- Perform reconnaissance and classification of UXO. Identify U.S. and foreign-guided missiles, bombs and bomb fuzes, projectiles and projectile fuzes, grenades and grenades fuzes, rockets and rocket fuzes, land mines and associated components, pyrotechnics, military explosives, and demolition materials.
- Supervise the location of subsurface UXO using military and / or civilian magnetometers. Supervise excavation and recovery of subsurface UXO, construction of engineering controls, and location of surface UXO by visual means.
- Manage transportation and storage of UXO in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Oversee disposal of UXO by burning or detonation. Determine UXO-related storage compatibility.
- Supervise the donning and doffing of PPE and maintenance and operator checks on all team equipment. Prepare UXO-related administrative reports and maintain a daily logbook. Conduct daily team safety and task hazard analysis briefings.

High school diploma + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience / educationCurrent driver's license; may require using an AECOM-provided vehicle and / or personal vehicle for company businessPass pre-employment drug screenValid US Passport through 11 / 2026Participate in and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment fitness for duty exam in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120; must be medically qualified to conduct work activities at the jobsite40-hour HAZWOPER; 8-hour OSHA Supervisor (initial); current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresherDue to the nature of the work, US citizenship is requiredDoD / TP-18 Qualifications
Graduate of a military EOD assistant course, or accredited UXO technician training course, or military EOD school (US, Canada, UK, Germany, or Australia)On-the-job training in MEC-related processes, procedures, and equipmentMilitary EOD school graduates : 1 year MEC-related experience, 8 years total EOD / MEC experienceAccredited UXO School graduates : 8 years minimum MEC-related experienceGraduate of an OSHA-compliant 8-hour Management and Supervisor Training CoursePreferred Qualifications

Offered rate of compensation will be based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is USD 59 - USD 60 per hour.
