One (1) Mechanical Commissioning Lead for new Data Center building in NC.

About the Role

Main job is to make sure all HVAC and mechanical systems are installed, tested, integrated, and proven to work reliably before the facility goes live.

Responsibilities

• Types of Mechanical Equipment in Data Centers :
• Chillers, cooling towers, or modular chiller plants
• CRAH / CRAC units (Computer Room Air Handlers / Conditioners)
• In-row coolers or rear-door heat exchangers
• Chilled water distribution systems (pumps, piping, valves)
• Condenser water systems
• Air distribution systems, ductwork, dampers, and VFDs
• Economizers / free cooling systems
• Fuel systems for generators (if tied into HVAC systems, e.g. fuel oil heating)
• BMS integration for monitoring and controls
• Their job is to make sure the data center can keep its servers cool 24 / 7, under any operating or failure condition.
• They prove that cooling redundancy works, air and water systems are properly balanced, and all mechanical systems integrate seamlessly before the facility goes live.
