Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Dialysis for a travel nursing job in Bryan, Texas.

Position : Registered Nurse – Acute Dialysis

Shift : 12-Hour Days (7a–7p; possible 11a–11p rotational), Every Other Weekend, First to Float

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Contract Length : 12 weeks (84 days)

Facility Overview :

This role supports both Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart), providing dialysis care in acute and ICU settings. The nurse will manage a range of renal conditions, including ESRD and acute renal failure, ensuring safe and effective dialysis treatments in compliance with hospital and CommonSpirit Health standards.

Unit Details :

  • Unit Type : Dialysis Suite
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 2 : 1 and 1 : 1 treatments
  • Common Diagnoses : ESRD, Acute Renal Failure, Peritoneal Dialysis
  • Dialysis Modalities : Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis (including site / catheter care)

    • Responsibilities :

  • Perform acute care dialysis, including AVF / AVG cannulation, CVC access, and management of hemodialysis complications.
  • Provide peritoneal dialysis initiation and termination.
  • Administer and manage set-rate drips (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone; heparin titration).
  • Collaborate with ICU RNs and RTs when patients are on ventilatory support (vents, BiPap, CPAP, HiFlow).
  • Float as needed between Bryan and College Station campuses.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation (one night per week and every other Sunday).

    • Certifications Required :

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS (AHA or APEX)

    • Additional Information :

  • Charting : MEDITECH
  • Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs
  • Orientation : General orientation on first shift, followed by unit-based training
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other Saturday (maximum)
  • Holiday Rotation : With core staff
  • Call-outs : Strongly discouraged and may lead to termination
  • BSN Required : No
  • License to Submit : Yes
