Job description

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving group sales revenue and maximizing market share for the DoubleTree by Hilton DenverWestminster.

This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and managing existing accounts to ensure repeat and referral business

The Senior Sales Manager will proactively solicit and secure group business through direct sales, networking, and partnerships, while strategically negotiating contracts to meet revenue and profitability goals.

In addition, this role collaborates closely with hotel operations and catering teams to ensure seamless execution of events, delivering exceptional guest experiences. Contributing to overall hotel performance and strengthening the hotels position within the Denver and Westminster markets.

Key Responsibilities-

1. Sales and Revenue Generation :

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aimed at generating business transient revenue through new and existing corporate accounts.
  • Identify, solicit, and secure new business transient accounts, cultivating strong relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Negotiate and manage corporate rate agreements, ensuring both profitability and competitiveness in the market.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and transient business patterns, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets through a combination of proactive outreach and strategic client management.

2. Account Management :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business transient accounts, ensuring high-level service delivery and fostering long-term loyalty.
  • Conduct regular site visits, presentations, and quarterly business reviews with key clients to strengthen relationships and maximize opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all client interactions, account details, and contract agreements within CRM systems.
  • Address client needs promptly and effectively, providing solutions that enhance satisfaction and repeat business.
  • 3. Collaboration and Communication :

  • Collaborate closely with the revenue management team to optimize pricing, availability, and inventory for transient business.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop tailored promotional materials, campaigns, and offerings that appeal to corporate travelers.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence and feedback to the leadership team, helping refine strategies and improve guest experiences for business travelers.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings, contributing valuable insights to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • 4. Reporting and Administration :

  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports, including updates on business transient accounts, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Track and analyze transient business revenue, using data to adjust sales tactics and ensure alignment with revenue goals.
  • Participate in weekly sales and revenue meetings, providing updates on progress and collaborating on strategies to meet targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with hotel policies and procedures in all sales operations, including rate negotiations and contract management.
  • Qualifications-

  • Education : Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years in hotel sales, with a focus on business transient sales. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills :
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proficient in sales and CRM software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, identify business opportunities, and adjust strategies.
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with the local corporate market and business travel trends is highly desirable.
