Position Summary : Advanced Materials Engineer - Metallurgy

Location : Nashua, NH

Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking an experienced Advanced Materials Engineer - Metallurgy. In this role, you will provide the lead in supporting the development of new products and processes, develop enabling plating and material technologies, perform failure analysis, and interface with suppliers and customers. The position will be located in Nashua, NH.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop new products and processes via mechanical testing, analytical methods and characterization of electrical connectors, cabling and components.
• Collaborate with product designers in evaluating integrity of : plating systems, base materials, soldering, and welding.
• Develop accelerated test methods to ensure reliability of plating and base materials.
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel, supporting the development and validation of product prototypes thru pilot production, as well as interfacing with customers
• Support plating development in manufacturing including materials and processes for cable and connector products.
• Perform failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Process and analyze testing results, and create reports and presentations for internal and external customers
• Prepare test samples and test requests.
• Research, evaluate and recommend materials to develop enabling technologies for future product development.
• Develop test plans and design of experiments to support product development and qualification.
