Urgent Care Systems Administrator Director
Position Summary :
To plan, develop, implement and evaluate On Demand Care services across Park Nicollet Health Services and Heath Partners Medical Group Clinics in collaboration with key operational and medical group leaders.
Scope of accountability includes all Urgent Care locations and services.
This position collaboratively works with the designated VPs, Chiefs, Assistant Medical Directors, Medical Directors and Department Chairs to make strategic and operations decisions for Urgent Care to create preferred options that are easy to access, easy to use, are timely, affordable, consistent and reliable.
Education and Qualifications :
BA / BS in health care / management; master’s degree preferred
5-10 years of clinic / health care experience, including management experience
Demonstrated skills in effective leadership and team building
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers and colleagues at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic, operational and business plans
Ability to identify and solve problems using principles of continuous quality improvement; additional Lean experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills Effective public speaking and presentation skills
Familiarity with matters of law, regulation, union contract and internal policies effecting the employment relationship Special Knowledge / Skills / Certifications / Licenses :
Is an effective group facilitator.
Knowledge of Federal / State / local regulations pertaining to health care management and health care financing and the implications for Urgent Care.
e.g. Right-To-Know, workers’ compensation, Patient Bill of Rights, HCFA, Medicare).
Knowledge of health care financing as applied to the delivery of and reimbursement for Urgent Care services.
Knowledge and understanding of Park Nicollet and HPMG rules, policies, practices, union contracts, medical staff bylaws and information systems.
Knowledge of Park Nicollet and HealthPartners / strategic goals and plans.
Knowledge of reimbursement restrictions, authorization policies / procedures and ability to interpret and implement contracts for programs.
Knowledge of the scope of services available locally, regionally and nationally for the patient with On Demand care needs.
Ability to think and plan creatively and futuristically.
Ability to decrease cost and increase revenue.
Ability to apply quality improvement techniques on a day-to-day basis
