Senior Program Manager - Security Clearance Required

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to join our team. As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success, and ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget and technical baseline.

Essential Functions

  • Cultivate a high-performing program and project management team through effective practices to enhance motivation, morale, and results, fostering a culture of high energy and total ownership.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, overseeing project resources and risks to ensure successful execution.
  • Design work breakdown structures and financial schemas to ensure accurate accounting to support program objectives.
  • Forge and maintain relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software engineering, design, testing, and manufacturing to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, critical paths, and proactively mitigate risks and issues.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring timely resolution of issues and conflicts, while adhering to project management processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the technical baseline of large, highly complex efforts, providing leadership and guidance to direct reports to support mission execution.
  • Mentor junior project managers and team members, facilitating post-project reviews to glean lessons learned and share best practices.
  • Cultivate opportunities for strategic collaboration and partnership with customers and industry, while providing technical expertise and guidance to meet deadlines.
  • Develop, implement, and refine project and program management tools, best practices, and capabilities to support multiple business sectors in global markets.
  • Lead quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and demonstrate agility in managing shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Address organizational and customer conflicts as they arise, while fulfilling any additional duties as assigned.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance on a full-time basis or as per the posted schedule .
  • Demonstrates professionalism in interactions with internal and external associates, upholding the company's image and adhering to its policies and standards.
  • Personifies AEVEX's cultural values, integrating them into daily actions to support departmental objectives and foster company culture.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from concept to delivery
  • Demonstrated track record of taking ownership and driving results - self-start and self-directed
  • Significant experience in designing and managing commercial-based technology programs
  • Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills; demonstrated ability to analyze and break down problems with high ambiguity into components
  • Demonstrated success leading the creation of concepts and contributing technical writing for winning proposals
  • Ability to champion the process of change and promotes a culture of quick adaptation while helping others deal with the effects of change

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or master's degree

Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of successful program management experience, preferably in an Aerospace production environment
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and project timelines

Security Clearance

Ability to obtain / maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
