Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 (Alabama nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Renal Unit (36-bed) Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 7 / 2026) Nursing Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00-19 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours / week available) Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,720 - $1,840 per week Dress Code : Solid Navy Scrubs Parking : On-site available EMR System : Meditech Registered Nurse Qualifications Associate degree in Nursing required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses) Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Med / Surg Telemetry, renal nursing, or related healthcare jobs Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed Ability to work every other weekend and holidays RN Responsibilities Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients with acute and chronic kidney disease Manage post-hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients Collaborate with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 6 in the Renal Unit Float to other units and hospitals to support patient care as needed Document patient care using Meditech EMR system Experience the Southern hospitality of Tuscaloosa while making a difference in renal patient care.
