About The Position

Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : 12 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 48 guaranteed

Experience : Minimum 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience preferred.

License : Registered Nurse - required by state board of nursing.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (required).

Must-Have :

• Epic experience
• Comfortability working a 48-hour / week contract
• Experience with complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases
• Experience in the administration of IV medications, including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Description :

Looking for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a dynamic health team.

The unit comprises mixed ICU beds, providing care to complex patients, including surgical and trauma cases.

There is a requirement for participants to manage a range of diagnoses, including ARDS, MI, and COVID-19.

Experience with cardiac cases, including CABG and TAVR post-operative care, is preferred.

Patient ratios may vary based on acuity, ranging from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3.

Candidates must be willing to obtain required certifications prior to arrival.

Nurses must have experience in acute care, facilitating patient safety and well-being.

Experience in hemodynamic monitoring, proning, ventilator management, and telemetry is essential.

Candidates should describe instances where they exceeded leadership expectations during the application process.

Support staff will be available in the unit to aid nursing staff.

Additional roles include charge nurses overseeing ICU operations and a resource nurse available based on staffing levels.

Schedule flexibility is necessary, including weekend rotations and compliance with holiday work requirements.
