Lead Motion Designer (Remote US) at Directive. Directive Consulting is the leading B2B performance marketing agency that delivers real revenue—not just leads. About the Role : The Lead Motion Designer will work with Directive’s award-winning Creative team, producing content for various client projects within the Design department. The ideal candidate has motion graphics experience in After Effects, can create assets within brand guidelines, and produces animated content that connects with audiences and objectives. This person should engage clients with strategic ideas and consultative feedback, be collaborative, deadline-driven, organized, and detail-obsessed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and creating storyboards, mood boards, and design frames
  • Research and analyze design techniques to create motion graphics
  • Create engaging animations that meet target objectives
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of short-form video creation for internal and external projects
  • Produce content for social media, mobile, web, and emerging media
  • Take initiative on projects to deliver innovative solutions
  • Adhere to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand brand, audience, and message for strategic, high-performing video products
  • Create original designs that communicate intended messages to current and prospective clients
  • Coordinate production requirements, potentially including VO and music, and provide final approvals

What You Offer

  • Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite and other leading motion graphics tools (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Cinema 4D, Blender, Animate, etc.)
  • Interest in new technologies and platforms for motion content, including generative AI
  • Strong visual and conceptual problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to align designs with multi-channel strategy
  • Ability to own a project and collaborate as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, or related discipline is highly preferred (not required)
  • Bonus Points : strong character animation, proficiency in Java for After Effects, 3D motion graphics abilities
