As a Chief Medical Executive, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the clinical performance of multiple centers. You will deliver direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) and engage in leadership responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity to lead and innovate in a rapidly expanding environment that offers a fulfilling and impactful role. Your time will be allocated between patient care and leadership responsibilities based on market needs and organizational direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead the clinical outcomes and daily management of Medical Directors across multiple centers with active presence and collaboration.
  • Ensure effective clinical operations and successful achievement of market earnings.
  • Mentor and coach Medical Directors to achieve exceptional clinical results.
  • Facilitate talent development for all clinical staff through mentorship, coaching, and leadership growth initiatives.
  • Promote and nurture a physician culture that aligns with ChenMed's core model and values.
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding of clinical staff, ensuring a strong clinical talent pipeline.
  • Establish partnerships with payers, specialists, and the community to foster collaboration and support.
  • Monitor workplace culture and swiftly address any concerns to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Review and approve center-level referrals, providing market referral support as needed.

Additional responsibilities may include :

  • Assisting with quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Conducting monthly performance reviews and quarterly clinical assessments.
  • Strengthening relations with providers and stakeholders to enhance clinical strategies.
  • Engaging in clinical initiatives based on local market dynamics.
  • Offering clinical training across ChenMed entities, as necessary.
  • Contributing to cost reduction strategies while delivering superior patient care (20% of time dedicated to direct patient care).

    • REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar field is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with 3 years preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Director or equivalent role preferred, especially with Medicare or Medicaid populations.
  • Board eligibility is required; Board Certification in relevant specialties is preferred.
  • Active medical license in the state of employment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical leadership with a successful track record.
  • Proven capability in managing complex chronic disease care and population health.
  • Experience in teamwork settings focusing on quality improvement.
