Job Summary :

This role is responsible for enforcing food safety and quality standards at every stage of production—from raw materials to finished products. The position ensures compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Daily tasks include inspections, testing, documentation, and working directly with production teams to maintain safe, high-quality food output.

2 nd  12pm -8 : 30pm $20.00

3 rd  8pm - 4 : 30am $20.50

Key Responsibilities :

Quality & Safety Oversight :

  • Conduct daily floor checks to enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation, and safety procedures.

Inspections & Testing :

  • Perform pre-op inspections, swab for pathogens and allergens, calibrate equipment, and run quality and food safety tests.
  • Process & Product Verification :

  • Verify critical control points (CCPs), preventive controls, batch formulations, and labels to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Documentation & Reporting :

  • Record product temperatures, log test results, review batch records, take photos, and document any quality or safety issues.
  • Non-Conformance Management :

  • Start and manage the hold process for any non-compliant products or materials, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution.
  • Communication & Team Support :

  • Serve as a quality / safety point of contact for production teams, assist across shifts, and help address customer complaints related to quality.
  • General Support :

  • Assist with food safety and quality assurance program activities as needed, including audits and training.
  • Qualifications :

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, PCQI); certification preferred or willing to obtain.
  • Comfortable using food testing tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to follow and interpret SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and schedules.
