Senior Database Engineer

A company is looking for a Senior Database Engineer (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

Architect and build relational and NoSQL database systems that are performant, highly available, and scalable

Perform advanced query tuning and configure data replication using tools like Oracle GoldenGate or AWS DMS

Mentor junior engineers and lead database-related projects and upgrades

Required Qualifications

Deep expertise in relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra)

Proven experience with query optimization, indexing strategies, and data replication

Strong proficiency in SQL, with scripting experience in Python or Shell

Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native database management

7+ years of hands-on experience in database engineering, administration, or architecture
