Job Description for the Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk

Key responsibilities for the Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk
- Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices / credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances.
- Handle matching invoices to purchase orders and / or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A / P) and Accounts Receivable (A / R)
- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes.
- Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts;
generate correction documents as required.
Add financial information to journals and ledgers.
Preferred Requirements for the Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk
- 1+ years of accounting experience required
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
- Experience with high volume data entry
- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
