ER Registered Nurse Job Details

Position : Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Bethlehem, PA 18015 (Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : November 24, 2025

Schedule : 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Shift : Nights

Every other weekend and holiday required

ER Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday (requests off for all 3 major holidays will not be considered)

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department

Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent medical conditions

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions in the electronic medical record

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment in accordance with healthcare regulations
