Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring CT or compact licensure and NRP certification at a Level I trauma center.
Responsibilities
Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a short-term acute care hospitalLevel I Trauma Center with over 1000 bedsPatient population includes laboring mothers and newborns in high-acuity settingShift options include 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, both day (7 : 00–19 : 00) and night (19 : 00–7 : 00) availableWeekend rotations required every other weekendOn-call required : 2 four-hour blocks per 6-week scheduleEMR system is Epic; prior experience preferred but not requiredFloating within scope is not requiredBlock scheduling can be accommodatedScrubs provided by the facilityResponsibilities include caring for laboring mothers, assisting with deliveries, and supporting post-partum careTeam-oriented environment with dedicated support staff and physiciansFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyReturn staff must have been gone at least 2 years to be considered as a travelerFacility automatically approves up to 7 days of requested time off; requests over 7 days require additional approvalFlu vaccination is required with no declinations accepted; COVID-19 vaccination required with only medical or religious exemptions permittedMonthly parking available at an additional costParticipation in natural disaster or emergency response activities may be requiredRequirements
Active CT or compact RN license required before start date; pending license accepted at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required; 1.5 years accepted with Level I trauma or travel experienceCurrent BLS and NRP certifications requiredExperience in Level I trauma or high-volume academic facilities requiredOne professional reference requiredMust not have previous disciplinary action or priors on licenseCandidates must live more than 75 miles from the facilityAnnual and pre-start online modules requiredBenefits
