Job descriptionAssisting in all aspects of processing, including : System layout Process verification Product / process change impact Cycle time analysis Ergonomic evaluations Joining requirements (weld, SPR, TOX, etc.) Staging, joining equipment selection, and validation Spare parts, documentation, and manuals Progress reporting Quoting and estimating Interpreting automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications. Understanding ergonomic considerations for proposed processes. Maintaining knowledge of PC-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Working with Throughput Simulation Operators and Robot Simulation Operators to verify process viability. Following safety and environmental regulations and identifying concerns at both our clients facilities and customer facilities. Adhering to the Quality System and participating in continuous improvement. Performing other departmental functions as required. Maintaining regular and predictable attendance (essential function). NX AutoCAD STDS / SDP Proposal layout Processing EBOP Industrial engineering Ergonomic evaluation Weld staging PLP / MDM Siemens Process Designer Teamcenter Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematic drawings, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, lesson plans, and outlines. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, students, or employees. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability / validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and work with abstract and concrete variables. Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, and ability to talk or hear. Frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional reaching with hands and arms. Frequently lifting / moving up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required : close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is usually quiet. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Domestic travel required. International travel may be required. Associate's degree from a two-year college, university, or technical school; or one to five years related experience / training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Description
The Process Engineer evaluates customer products, including specifications, to develop manufacturing plans and produce products according to customer needs. This position requires extensive design and manufacturing expertise, as well as an understanding of equipment costs for evaluation purposes.
