American Endovascular is seeking a dedicated and clinically astute General Practitioner (MD) to provide endovascular consultative services within a multidisciplinary team. The GP will be responsible for initial patient evaluations, history-taking, physical exams, risk stratification, and coordination of care for patients who may benefit from endovascular interventions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely and appropriate referrals and in enhancing continuity of care across services.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive medical evaluations for patients referred for possible endovascular interventions (e.g., PAD, aneurysms, venous insufficiency, dialysis access issues).
- Gather and review relevant imaging, labs, and diagnostic studies.
- Coordinate and document detailed consult notes and present cases to endovascular specialists for further management or intervention.
- Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up plans.
- Collaborate with vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, and primary care providers.
- Ensure timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and facilitate referrals or testing when appropriate.
- Participate in quality assurance meetings and clinical case reviews, as needed.
Qualifications
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in NY.Board Certification or Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.Prior experience in vascular medicine, cardiology, interventional radiology, or related field is preferred but not required.Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.Ability to work in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment.Familiarity with vascular imaging (CTA, MRA, duplex ultrasound) is a plus.Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience managing patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD), chronic venous disease, or dialysis access concerns.Knowledge of common endovascular procedures and post-procedural care.EMR proficiencyBLS / ACLS certification (if required by facility).Work Environment
Clinic-based outpatient setting.Compensation & Benefits
