Your contributions make a real difference. We seek a devoted Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to help provide exceptional patient care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing a range of nuclear medicine and PET CT exams while delivering outstanding customer service and high-quality imaging. This role involves safely handling radioactive isotopes according to established policies and radiation safety practices.

Your key responsibilities include :

  • Performing nuclear medicine exams timely and according to protocols to ensure quality care.
  • Receiving, calibrating, logging, and monitoring the decay of radioactive isotopes accurately.
  • Providing radiation safety assistance in case of incidents while maintaining detailed records.
  • Collecting and recording patient medical information efficiently.
  • Coordinating patient flow and ensuring all scheduled exams are completed.
  • Educating patients about procedures and addressing their questions.
  • Maintaining required licenses and credentials as per job qualifications.
  • Upholding the facility's ICARE values and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Assisting with patient discharge instructions and performing technical duties as necessary.
  • Handling radioactive materials responsibly and ensuring compliance with disposal regulations.
  • Demonstrating understanding of patient growth and development appropriate to all ages served.
  • Qualifications required :

  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Current certification by CNMT or ARRT (N) is required.
  • BLS certification mandatory.
  • Experience with PET CT is preferred.
  • This position requires on-call availability.
