Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the accounting functions in Accounts Receivable. Duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Contact customers for payment on past due accounts
- Process credit applications
- New customer set up and account maintenance
- Process credit memos to customers
- Respond to inquiries from customers, and research / resolve outstanding credit issues
- Maintain credit invoice and supporting documentation files
- Monitor credit holds in Account Receivable
- Respond to inquiries from sites and sales team
- Salesforce.com case maintenance
- Maintain unapplied payment report
- Process release of lien requests
- Process credit references
- Process sworn statement of account requests
- Handle customer payments received in house and send to lockbox when necessary
- Process tax-exempt certificates
- Work with salespeople on their accounts / collections
- Handle notice to owner issues
- Maintain assigned customer accounts; reconciling and resolving open balances
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Requirements / Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years related experience
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent telephone skills
- Team player ability to share information within the department and company
