Executive Housekeeper
Right arm of the , the Executive Housekeeper keeps an eye on the service and the quality of the amenities in the rooms. His or her motto : Everything must be perfect!
An important part of the Executive Housekeeper activities consists of managing the rooms section of the budget : cost management, preparation of provisional budgets, customer and employee satisfaction, etc.
He or she monitors the quality of his or her teams services and the proper organisation of the various tasks to be performed.
Thus, he or she is able to establish new working methods or offer new services to attract a broader clientele.
The key to success in becoming Executive Housekeeper
Education : Advanced vocational diploma (BTS), bachelors degree or diploma in hospitality. Professional training at specialised schools is also possible.
The path to success : It is most commonly attained through a Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper position. It would be interesting to do at least one internship at an independent hotel and another with a hotel group.
1st year : Maid or Housekeeper or Assistant Day or Night Lead Housekeeper. 2nd year : Lead Housekeeper. This will allow you to have customer contact and to direct a small team and will show you the basics of organising a hotel.
3rd year : Assistant Executive Housekeeper. This will immerse you in the organisation of a full department, with personnel and budget management.
