Mechanical Technician WDTC MSS
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to provide calibration, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical test equipment for the Western Desert Testing Center at Dugway Proving Grounds, UT in a full-time capacity.
You will work in an outdoor environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. Inside environment may be a cubicle and outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot and cold climates.
No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, or up to 10 lbs.
of force constantly to move objects. Office is located on site in Government spaces at : Dugway Proving Ground, UT.
Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management.
In this position you will be part of an interdisciplinary collaborative team providing calibration, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical test equipment to include dissemination.
Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience with :
- Calibration mechanical test equipment
- Operation mechanical test equipment
- Maintenance, repair, and dissemination of mechanical test equipment
- Temperature, Humidity, Air Velocity, pH, Conductivity and Particle Concentration instrumentation operation
Experience with the following is desirable :
- Vibration systems
- Cryogenic liquids
- High-pressure liquids
- Oxygen displacing vapors (CO2 and N2)
Candidate must have a current SECRET DoD Security Clearance
