Legal Billing Assistants
Vaco is currently hiring for several Legal Billing Assistants to join a fast-growing accounting team in Columbia, SC.
Overview :
The Accounting Department handles the needs of our law offices across the country. Our team thrives on communication, accuracy, and a desire to serve our clients.
Responsibilities :
- Handle busy inbox
- Edit and prepare invoices
- Communicate and manage billing needs
- Work directly with attorneys and assistants
- Searching each financial statement for any payment inconsistencies or errors
- Collaborating with customers, third party institutions and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
- Creating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a customer
- Inputting payment history, upcoming payment information or other financial data into an individual account
- Informing customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines
- Other duties as given

- Legal Billing experience
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong 10-key and typing
- Multitasking master
- Extreme attention to detail
- Team player
- Strong work ethic
- Desire to learn
- Strong communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience and empathy
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
