Role Summary
The Payroll Processing Manager must be detail oriented, with an analytical mindset. The role is responsible for partnering with key People Business Partners, Master Data, and Internal Payroll Managers to deliver timely and accurate pay to employees. They will need to be tech savvy with an eye for process improvement while maintaining legal and CBA compliance. This role works closely with the Sr. Payroll Processing Manager to perform other related tasks.
Job Responsibilities
Engage and support all US Business Partners for their payroll calculation and processing needs. Perform critical payroll processes, obligatory payouts, and bonus calculations for employees. Routinely meet weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines. Work with continuous improvement mindset to proactively identify process improvements and resolution of issues. Conduct special analysis as required to provide understanding of business or financial performance to improve performance or open gaps. Prepare and present reports to business managers to illustrate results of analysis and recommended actions. Perform complex transactional responsibilities within assigned area of responsibility including, but not limited to, data and account analysis and variance reporting. Requires flexibility to meet critical deadlines will include some holiday support. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. 2 - 3 years of business / financial / payroll experience. 2 - 3 years of business analytics and financial reporting. 2+ years' experience handling complex problems and determining action plan to resolve. A commitment to finding innovative ways to continually improve processes. A relentless drive to provide excellent customer service. Ability to understand employment contracts and manage critical deadlines. Flexible work habits and ability to adapt to critical work demands. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. Experienced with workplace systems : SAP, Workday, Kronos, Dayforce, etc.
