Job description

Additional Position Details : FTE : 0.500000 | Part Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM

Salary : Wages start at $45.26 an hour and the midpoint is $56.58 an hour. Increases are based years of experience in the field. Plus, you will earn extra shift differentials for swing, night, and weekend hours :

  • $2.02 extra for working between 3 : 00pm - 11 : 00pm
  • $4.50 extra for working between 11 : 01pm and 7 : 00am
  • $1.87 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

The PET / CT Tech performs various diagnostic positron emission tomography (PET) and computerized tomographic (CT) examinations and procedures that require independent and professional judgment. They evaluate resulting films for quality and provide patient care. They ensure the quality and continuity of patient care to include : injection of radiopharmaceutical, patient positioning, reconstruction and network image transfers. They also assume responsibility for designated assignments and assists with the workflow of the department to ensure completion of work assignments.

Qualifications

Required Experience / Skills / Abilities

  • Minimum 1 year of PET / CT and diagnostic experience.
  • IV skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and competency in clinical area of practice.
  • Ability to use all channels of communication to address inter- and intradepartmental concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment and produce very high-quality imaging with minimal supervision.
  • Required Licensure / Certifications

  • Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Certified in Nuclear Medicine - CNMT by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) - OR - ARRT (N) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • OBMI Temporary License in respective specialty may be considered. Permanent licensure must be obtained within 6 months of hire prior to temporary license expiration.
  • BLS : Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
