Responsibilities :

Please note that this position is located in Eastern Washington, and 50-60% of the role will be meeting with youth who are transitioning out of the juvenile justice system across the region.

Provide behavioral health services to adolescents and young adults who are transitioning out of Juvenile Rehabilitation into the community.

Implement the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach with Assertive Continuing Care (A-CRA / ACC) program as described in the research manual.

Training and certification will be provided. Assist the Principal Investigator with the implementation of research protocols.

Along with the Principal Investigator, ensure that research projects are conducted in compliance with federal regulations and institutional / departmental guidelines.

Work under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. The Interventionist will meet with youth both inside the facilities as well as after they leave.

This is a key position that entails working autonomously with setting a schedule, creating spreadsheets, being flexible, and maintaining client outreach.

Requirements :

Required Education / Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field; or one of the following may be considered as substitute :
  • 4 years of professional experience in counseling, social work, or other related intervention experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an unrelated field and 2 years of experience providing direct treatment services to children and families (i.
  • e., assessments, therapy, interventions, case management);
  • Associate’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field and 2 years of experience providing direct treatment services to children and families (i.
  • e., assessments, therapy, interventions, case management);
  • Preferred : A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • This position requires regular domestic travel and reliable access to a vehicle.

Preferred :

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Current licensure in Washington State as a Registered Counselor or Mental Health Counselor Associate.
  • Experience providing behavioral interventions with children & families.
  • Experience working in a behavioral or clinical research setting.
  • Experience with evidence-based practice.

Min to Max Hourly Salary : $30.37 - $45.55 / hrMin to Max Annual Salary : $63,169.60 - $94,744.00 / yrSalary Information :

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
