Salary : Minimum : $23.00 per hour

LOCATION : KLEO operates and manages two (2) shelters in the City of Chicago. If you are selected for an interview the location with the greatest need will be discussed at that time. This position will also be open to transfer based upon operational need.

JOB SUMMARY : RESIDENTIAL MONITOR isresponsible for completing the day-to-day activities under the direction of the Shift Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Intake new clients and assist with discharge planning
  • Support distribution of meals and snacks including clean up
  • Conduct hourly walking inspections of all areas of the facility
  • Assist with training new staff and volunteers
  • Assist resident(s) with regular laundry services
  • Assist with Custodial and Janitorial duties
  • Communicate to all residents and adhere to the shelter rules and policies
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings
  • Respond to emergencies in a timely fashion
  • Work cooperatively with other staff members and programs within shelter
  • Facilitate in laundry of towels and client clothes
  • All other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor, Shelter Manager, Project Manager, COO and President / CEO

GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exerting up to 15 to 25 pounds of force occasionally which includes carrying laundry up 4 flights of stairs.

Shifts : Shifts and location are available upon operational need.

1st : 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm

2nd : 3 : 00pm-11 : 30pm

3rd : 11 : 00pm-7 : 30am

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School / GED or four-years of equivalent experience
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Competencies

  • Ability to adapt to software applications
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with solid organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel or Google Workspace
  • Experience in providing services to homeless residents
  • Participation as a team player and sensitive to issues of diversity
