Global Business Systems Manager
With the support of the Global Business Systems Manager, you will oversee the provision of a comprehensive system support function for the company's global business systems, as well as maintaining and developing the IT systems strategic roadmap. The goal is to maintain and improve business efficiency through the use of technology, whilst ensuring all activities related to Information Technology are coordinated, effective, and secure through proper oversight and guidance. This role is a key part of our succession plans, with the expectation that the role holder will work alongside and then be ready to take over from the Global Business Systems Manager within 18 months, taking ownership for the IT function across Loma Globally. This is a hybrid role with four days per week in office at our facility in Carol Stream, IL.
Responsibilities :
- To participate in reviewing and updating the strategic plan for all information systems. Helping to prioritize, seek approval and implement process and information system improvement activities that support the achievement of business objectives and simplify / modernise the divisional technology footprint.
- Benchmark, analyse, report on, create business cases and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Then project manage divisional / business unit technology implementations.
- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision. Maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies to evaluate new solutions and assess their relevance or potential value to the organization.
- Responsible for the operation of computer systems (hardware and software), ensure these are optimised and the risk of disruption minimised.
- To be responsible for IT security and adhere to ITWs BRAVE framework.
- Support and maintain backup and restore systems, including disaster recovery planning.
- To be responsible for maintaining and providing user support for the Companys database systems and 2nd level user support for the companys computer systems as required.
- To provide system support / maintenance of the Companys wide area network and global servers.
- To actively participate in the design and development of the Companys database and software systems, whilst maintaining responsibility for software licensing.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, monitoring expenditures and ensuring financial targets are met.
- Manage, mentor, lead and develop IT staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation across multiple countries.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development. Detailed knowledge of servers and network infrastructure.Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or related subject.Experience of ERP solutions (ideally Microsoft Dynamics365).Experience of unified communications (ideally 3CX).Experience of software development.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including use of macros, VBA, XML.Ability to investigate problems logically to a successful resolution.People oriented, with good communication skills, both listening and explanation.A role model of Lomas behaviours (Hands-on, One Team, Positive Mindset, delivering on our Commitments, Taking the initiative).Compensation Information : 110-130k
