Position Summary
Meridian HealthCare is seeking a Behavioral Health Manager to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services within our Outpatient Counseling programs. Meridian serves individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions through integrated, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
The Behavioral Health Manager provides both direct patient care and clinical leadership, mentoring and supervising therapists, facilitating training, and ensuring compliance with documentation and quality standards. This role plays a key part in promoting staff development, patient wellness, and community integration through trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered care through individual counseling and evidence-based interventions.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments at intake and ongoing intervals using approved tools and timelines.
- Mentor and guide therapists through case consultation, resource support, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to refine workflows, service delivery models, and program implementation.
- Support onboarding and training of new clinical staff through shadowing, modeling, and documentation guidance.
- Facilitate or co-lead team meetings and interdisciplinary case reviews with clinical, medical, and housing staff.
- Coordinate care with internal and external providers, including psychiatry, primary care, and community-based supports.
- Participate in incident reporting, risk management, and emergency response as needed.
- Promote and uphold trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and recovery-oriented principles in all aspects of service delivery.
Requirements
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field required.Active independent license (LISW or LPCC) required.Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical practice with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, recovery models, and integrated treatment approaches.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to ethical practice, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement.
