We are currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Houston, TX team. This position plays a key role in assembling high-quality power distribution equipment and ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards.

Job Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. This hands-on role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure all products are built to precise quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical, electrical, and / or hydraulic components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet internal and customer quality standards.

Perform product testing to verify conformance with design and safety requirements.

Fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment and tools as necessary.

Assist in packing and preparing finished products for shipment.

Load and unload materials using forklifts or cranes as required.

Travel occasionally to install units or perform maintenance and repairs at customer sites.

Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, or electronics manufacturing.

Strong understanding of electrical components, circuits, and systems.

Familiarity with testing equipment, measurement tools, and inspection techniques.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.

Additional Information

Location : Houston, TX

Reports To : Engineering Manager and / or Quality Manager

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (Overtime as needed)

Physical Requirements : Moderate physical demands - standing, walking, sitting; lifting up to 50+ lbs.

Travel : None to minimal travel required.

Training & Tools

Training is conducted at the Houston location under the supervision of the Engineering and / or Quality Manager.

Technicians will be trained in :

Assembly specifications for electrical and hydraulic components

Measurement verification and quality inspection

Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials

Supplier assessment and documentation

Software Used : P21, Wrike, and Microsoft Office as needed

Required PPE : Steel-toe boots and safety glasses in appropriate warehouse areas
