Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitors the control and accountability of over 30,000 individual pieces of media, including both electronic and hard copy material.
• Supports the SCSC Government Technical Library Manager in all required tasks.
• Prepares and delivers administrative reports as required by the SCSC Operations Work Area Manager and Technical Library Manager, such as media destruction reports, media receipt reports and input error rate reports.
• Tracks and reports Technical Library program progress to the Operations Coordinator. Deliver oral contract status reports to SCSC.
• Initiates recurring and random material audits and inventories, reporting status of same.

Travel

• This position includes a low level of travel.

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

• Associates Degreein Information Management, Information Science Technology, or Technical Library and Information Center discipline.
• Three years' experience in the following: operation of technical library program, providing technical information services to include web products, visual information products, acquiring library products, library reference assistance, maintaining records from various online sources may substitute for the degree.
• Candidates must have detailed knowledge of security requirements for handling, storage, inventory, and destruction of classified material in accordance with SECNAV 5510.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance highly desired however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base.
• Must have the availability to work varying shifts and weekends as required. All shifts are on a two-month rotation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently traverse stairs.
• Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
• Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
• Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs.
