Job Details

As a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for :

1. Drafting initial filings, complaints, discovery, and other legal documents.

2. Preparing motions, proposals for settlements, affidavits, and amended complaints.

3. Assisting with mediation and hearings.

4. Drafting and reviewing civil remedies notices.

5. Coordinating with attorneys to ensure smooth progression of cases.

6. Maintaining strict confidentiality of all client information.

7. Utilizing your bilingual skills (if applicable) to assist with Spanish-speaking clients.

8. Conducting legal research and summarizing findings.

9. E-filing in Virginia's court system.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

To be considered for this role, you must have :

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years in personal injury litigation.

2. Proven experience in drafting complaints, discovery, and initial filings.

3. Proficiency in preparing motions, proposals for settlement, affidavits, and amended complaints.

4. Experience with e-filing in Virginia.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

6. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

9. A strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.

10. A paralegal certification or equivalent legal education.
