Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Pediatrics
Full-Time | Inpatient / Outpatient | On-Campus Hospital Setting (Orange, CA)
Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our client's team in a dynamic, hospital-based setting. The role is primarily inpatient, with some outpatient pediatric responsibilities. All services are provided on campus, offering a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment. There is also an opportunity for this individual to step into a Lead Speech Language Pathologist role, supporting clinical leadership and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech, language, and swallowing therapy to pediatric patients in an inpatient setting, with some outpatient coverage
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams on campus
- Demonstrate professionalism, maturity, and strong communication in patient care and team interactions
- Support clinical operations and serve as a clinical leader among speech therapy staff
- Participate in Saturday on-call rotation as needed (PRNs are utilized first; overtime or comp time provided)
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site position
- 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
- Saturday on-call rotation required (overtime or make-up hours available)
- Hospital-based role with all services located on campus
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Pediatric experience required (inpatient pediatrics preferred, but not required)
- Licensed or license-eligible Speech Language Pathologist
Preferred Background (any of the following):
- Inpatient pediatric experience
- Inpatient adult experience combined with outpatient pediatrics
- Outpatient pediatrics with exposure to medical or hospital-based settings
- Swallowing experience
- Bilingual skills
