Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic who is committed to ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical systems, while adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow all applicable safety procedures.
• Change seals on different types of pumps.
• Calibrate thermocouples and other electrical devices.
• Anticipate mechanical problems with rotating equipment and take appropriate actions.
• Perform routine maintenance on glass-lined vessels.
• Weld, thread, and install pipe up to 3 inches in diameter.
• Install motors and control circuits up to 480V.
• Maintain plant rolling stock.
• Operate machine tools.
• Troubleshoot boiler and compressor problems.
• Complete work orders accurately.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Work Environment

This role requires outside work where the mechanic is exposed to hazardous conditions, hot materials, dirty equipment, and high elevations. Safety and protective gear are provided to ensure a secure work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00 / hr.
