Job description

We're looking for an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor / Project Manager to lead field and office survey teams on high-impact transportation, roadway, and municipal projects . Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee two or more field crews for boundary, topographic, SUE, and transportation surveys.
  • Review and assemble field data, perform calculations, prepare plats, maps, and legal descriptions.
  • Ensure QA / QC standards for deliverables, schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
  • Act as the primary client contact and represent the company in project and industry meetings.
  • Mentor and develop survey staff through goal-setting, performance reviews, and training.
  • Support proposal preparation and business development for new survey projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Active PLS license in at least one U.S. state OR ability to obtain in the primary work state within 6 months (exam fees covered).
  • 8+ years of progressive land-surveying experience, including DOT, roadway, or transportation projects.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation / OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D .
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations .
  • Valid driver's license, clean background, and U.S. work authorization (or TN visa eligibility).
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Multistate licensure.
  • Experience with SUE, aerial mapping, LiDAR, or sUAS technology.
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary : $85,000 - $145,000 (based on experience & licensure).
  • Sign-On Bonus : $5,000 - $10,000 after 90 days (relocation assistance available).
