Must-Have :

• OB, Mother / Baby, and Labor and Delivery experience
• Must float to different areas as needed

Description :

Candidates must have experience in OB, Mother / Baby, and Labor and Delivery.

They may be considered for longer contracts based on performance.

There is no call requirement for this position.

Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.

The candidate will work in all areas of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP).

They will float to different departments as a sitter when needed.

Additionally, they may float to other facilities when necessary and as census allows.

No time off will be granted during the first eight days of the contract.

Only one holiday request is allowed per contract.

Patient ratios will follow established staffing guidelines.

The unit has 15 beds, with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms.

Nurses will provide antepartum care, labor and delivery support, and couplet care for newborns.

They will also perform lab draws and hearing screens on newborns.

Candidates must have skills in circulating and fetal heart monitoring triage.

Scrub skills are preferred but not mandatory.

Equipment used includes EPIC for documentation and an ALGO 5 machine for hearing screens.

The successful candidate will be trained to complete newborn infant hearing screens.

Travelers will have priority when floating to other areas.

Proof of flu vaccination is required prior to employment, with medical exemptions considered.

Modules will need to be completed annually and self-reported by the nurse.

References are required prior to hire.
