AMPD is a sales agency that represents clients (manufacturers, brands, etc.) at the world’s largest club store, Costco. The AMPD team has over 100 years’ experience working with clients and calling on Costco directly. AMPD is a partner to clients and helps them craft brand strategy, develop selling stories for Costco key decision makers to influence new distribution, promotional programs and other activities that drive velocity in Costco stores (and online) to maintain everyday space as well as drive rotational programs with innovation, etc.

AMPD is a subsidiary of PLTFRM, an industry-leading omnichannel commerce growth accelerator. The Company owns and operates a portfolio of specialized sales agencies that drive revenue for its brand partners via digital and brick‑and‑mortar retail channels, including Walmart, Target, Costco, Amazon, Tik Tok, Sam’s Club, Best Buy, Walgreens, grocery and numerous additional online marketplaces. The Company’s best‑of‑breed, mission‑critical managed services include omnichannel sales strategy, e‑commerce optimization, supply chain and logistics management, digital marketing, content services, demand forecasting, retail analytics, and category management. Across our client base we manage over $11 billion in annual retail sales for 600+ clients. Established in 2005 and privately held, the company has a long history of accelerating brand growth for consumer brands of all sizes, stages, and industry verticals.

Position Summary

AMPD is looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to lead the charge of expanding our reach into BJ’s Wholesale Club. The Director of Sales will lead AMPD’s client business within BJ’s ecosystem, acting as a key strategic partner to both brand partners and BJ’s buyers. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing joint business plans, driving distribution and promotional excellence, and maximizing sell‑in and sell‑through performance.

This role requires a deep understanding of the club channel, BJ’s merchandising strategy, and the operational and financial nuances of managing CPG brands within a membership‑based retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all BJ’s Wholesale Club sales and account management activities across assigned brand partners.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans that align with BJ’s priorities and each brand’s strategic objectives.
  • Drive distribution growth, item expansion, and promotional excellence through effective sell‑in presentations, data insights, and relationship management.
  • Partner with Category Management, Analytics, and Marketing teams to deliver actionable insights using syndicated data (SPINS, IRI, Numerator, BJ’s portal, etc.).
  • Lead forecasting, promotional planning, and trade spend management to achieve volume, profit, and distribution goals.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on pricing, packaging, and club‑ready go‑to‑market approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with BJ’s buying, replenishment, and merchandising teams.
  • Monitor performance metrics (ACV, velocity, ROI, etc.) and deliver clear, data‑supported performance recaps.
  • Represent AMPD’s values and high standards of communication, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of sales or account management experience in CPG or retail brokerage managing BJ’s Wholesale Club.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and building strategic retail relationships.
  • Strong understanding of club channel economics, promotion mechanics, and pack configuration strategy.
  • Skilled in sales analytics, forecasting, and trade management.
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and results oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
