Staff Accountant - Loan Accounting

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant - Loan Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Record journal entries related to loan activity and perform account reconciliations

Support the month-end close process and assist in the preparation of financial statements

Develop and update accounting policies to ensure GAAP compliance and assist with external audits

Required Qualifications

BA / BS in Accounting required

At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Loan Accounting or a similar role

Proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with SAGE, Netsuite, or WorkDay preferred

Strong understanding of US GAAP

Proactive approach to process improvement and operational efficiency
