Land Development Civil Engineer (II)

Overview

STV is currently seeking a L and Development Civil Engineer for its Buildings group in Owings Mills, MD , which is currently the civil engineer of record for such high-profile projects as

Baltimore Harborplace

and

Baltimore Peninsula

in Baltimore, MD. The candidate will collaborate on a wide variety of projects including conceptual master plans, schools, mixed-use, office buildings, industrial buildings, housing / apartment projects, commercial buildings, and civil / site structures. The position will allow the individual to collaborate with our civil design team preparing documents associated with a wide variety of land development projects within the Baltimore Metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and be a licensed professional engineer. Experience with MicroStation, Civil 3D or AutoCAD is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents, permit packages, and support construction services.
• Utilize design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation; HydroCAD; Hydraflow, Hydrographs and ArcGIS) to create construction drawings, layouts, and models for land development projects.
• Conduct site investigations and assessments to support design decisions.
• Develop sustainable and innovative solutions for site layouts, stormwater management, grading, utilities, and erosion / sediment control.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate site design with overall project goals.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project requirements and progress.
• Support project managers by monitoring budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance project quality.

Compensation Range : $85,226.60 - $113,635.46
