Occupational Therapist (OT) - Pediatric

An education network on Long Island is currently seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join its growing team.

About the Opportunity :

• Start Date : ASAP
• Assignment Length : Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
• Schedule : Monday - Friday
• Hours : 7 : 45a - 3 : 15p
• Patient Population : 3-5 year olds

Responsibilities :

Evaluate and assess neuromuscular status, upper extremity control, visual-perceptual skills, sensory processing abilities, fine motor skills, self-help skills, and pre-writing skills.

Implement and coordinate occupational therapy intervention strategies.

Document progress using daily attendance sheets and quarterly progress notes.

Consult with classroom staff regarding methods and strategies to incorporate occupational therapy into the daily classroom routine

Communicate with families regarding progress and carryover

Prepare and set up the treatment area for the assigned children

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy

Current Occupational Therapy Licensure from the New York State Education Department
