We are currently looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Pizzeria Mozza!
Pizzeria Mozza is owned by Chef, Author and James Beard Award Winners Nancy Silverton and Joe Bastianich.
Requirements :
- 2 Years of experience of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment (upscale casual or Italian cuisine is a plus);
- Culinary program certificate or degree preferred, but not required;
- Full-time position (must be flexible with scheduling), nights, weekends and holidays are a must;
- Ability to work well with a team, follow directions and execute recipes perfectly;
- Oversee kitchen team during production and service to ensure food quality, food safety and adhere to recipes;
- Communicates areas in need of attention to staff and ensures follow through;
- Administrative tasks will include inventory, food and supply ordering, among other duties;
- Strives to improve team and personal performance;
- Attention to detail and the ability to receive feedback;
- Strong knife skills and the ability to work clean.
This position reports directly to Executive Chef Herbert Yuen and Chef de Cuisine Cassie White.
Compensation is hourly based on experience.
