As a Senior Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. This role will sit on the Discover Global Payment Network's (GPN) Strategy and Brand team. This role will support our network brand integration effort so the ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and wants to learn a brand-new business for Capital One.

Skills Needed :

• Strategic Project Planning & Execution : Ability to design, develop, and manage comprehensive project plans in a dynamic environment, ensuring on-time delivery while mitigating risks. This includes understanding business strategy and translating high-level objectives into tactical, actionable plans.
• Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence : Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, peers, and stakeholders without direct authority. You must excel at building strong relationships and effectively communicating with all levels of the organization to secure buy-in and drive project delivery.
• Change Management & Problem Solving : Comfortable navigating ambiguity and an evolving landscape. You'll need to proactively identify roadblocks, manage scope changes, and leverage strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues and ensure project goals are met.
• Effective Communication & Stakeholder Management : Excellent communication skills are essential for providing clear, regular updates to senior leadership and serving as the key liaison between various teams. You must be able to manage stakeholder expectations and influence outcomes to support the Network's integration journey.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA : $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Riverwoods, IL : $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr Manager, Project Management

New York, NY : $186,300 - $212,700 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
