Description
This position is located in Edmond, Oklahoma.
The Engineering Project Manager's job is to plan, execute, and complete projects on time and within budget, by managing internal resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring technical requirements are met. Key responsibilities include developing project plans and schedules, managing budgets and resources, assessing and mitigating risks, ensuring quality and compliance, and acting as a liaison between the project team and clients or other stakeholders. This role is critical in identifying and driving projects related to production cost analysis and reduction so a strong background in LEAN or Six Sigma is highly preferred.
A Day in the Lifeof an Engineering Project Manager :
- Actively identify cost reduction opportunities within the operations environment
 - Propose and lead projects that align with key organizational goals
 - Develop detailed project plans, define scope, and create realistic timelines and schedules
 - Estimate costs, develop project budgets, and track financial expenditures to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints
 - Guide and motivate contributing team members, assign tasks, and coordinate the work of various individual contributors and other professionals to achieve project goals
 - Must be willing to work hands-on to solve problems and develop solutions. This role requires someone who can directly contribute to project deliverables while also coordinating / managing the success of the overall project
 - Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, suppliers, and leadership to ensure alignment and clear communication
 - Identify potential risks and challenges and develop strategies to mitigate them
 - Ensure that projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements
 - Assign and manage the resources needed for project success, including personnel, equipment, and materials
 - Make critical decisions and address technical and logistical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle
 - Develop and utilize a value matrix to ensure the organization is focusing resources on the most critical projects that will deliver the highest ROI.
