Senior Application Analyst-Clinical Documentation / Surginet / Firstnet

This role is part of a large team, cross trained, collaborative team that supports all Cerner Solutions.

In this position the new hire will support the integration and development of information systems at Baystate Health. Responsibilities include the installation, testing, customization and implementation of software packages for Baystate Health within the IT division. The incumbent will lead large, complex projects; including the development of detailed project plan tasks, timelines, technical specifications, testing plans, and cut-over plan. The development and on-going maintenance of support documentation is required. They will work closely with other analysts, engineers, architects, team leaders, managers, and business partners to collaborate on system design. These activities require skills in independent decision-making, application design and configuration, complex problem solving, leadership, systems analysis, customer service, teamwork, organization and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibilities :

Candidate will be expected to provide maintenance and support for all areas of clinical documentation, Surginet, Powerchart Maternity and Firstnet

Candidate will participate in an on call rotation and provide level one support for all areas of Cerner Millennium.

Candidate should have strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows for nursing, providers and ancillary staff

Candidate should have strong understanding of the Surginet solution and clinical workflows and be able to provide support for all aspects of that solution.

Candidate should have strong working knowledge and be able to work independently to support tracking boards, for OB, Surginet, and Firstnet

Able to develop functional and technical specifications

Able to translate functional specifications into technical build guide

Able to manage small to moderate projects using standard project management methodologies

Create, update and execute detailed, role based test scripts.

Excellent documentation skills

Assist in developing workflows based on past experiences developing solutions.

Required Work Experience :

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the implementation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and ongoing support of large computer applications
